Install Adobe Flash Player 11.2 on CentOS/RHEL 6.5

Step 1: Install Adobe YUM Repository

- Open CentOS terminal console, switch user to “root” using command “su -“. Then run the following commands:

Adobe Repository for 32bit (x86) OS

# rpm -ivh http://linuxdownload.adobe.com/adobe-release/adobe-release-i386-1.0-1.noarch.rpm

# rpm --import /etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-adobe-linux

Adobe Repository for 64bit (x86_64) OS

# rpm -ivh http://linuxdownload.adobe.com/adobe-release/adobe-release-x86_64-1.0-1.noarch.rpm

# rpm --import /etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-adobe-linux

 

 

Step 2: Update Repository

- Run the following command to check if Adobe updates are available in repository

# yum check-update

 

 

Step 3: Install Adobe Flash Player

- Run the following command to complete the installation

# yum -y install flash-plugin nspluginwrapper alsa-plugins-pulseaudio libcurl

 

 

Step 4: Verify Adobe Flash Player Plugin

- Open Firefox, type “about:plugins” in the address bar and enter. You should see the Adobe Flash Player plugin listed
